Ahh, Kanaya. /)v(\ Let’s review the facts.

1. She sews and likes fashion.

2. She’s been canonically stated to be very pretty.

3. She is a lumberjack.

4. My mom’s dead? Guess I better cUT OPEN HER STOMACH WITH A FUCKING CHAINSAW

5. She volunteered to be responsible for the survival of the rest of the entire troll race.

6. There is not a single troll that dislikes her. She’s also the only troll Karkat was always polite towards. KARKAT. He grumps and yells at everyone else - even his best friends - but not Kanaya.

7. SHE’S A FUCKING VAMPIRE, HOW COOL IS THAT.

8. After she bit Sollux, she was all, “shit I better take care of this guy,” and she led him around the homicidal maniac-infested meteor at great personal risk.

9. Speaking of homicidal maniacs, remember when there were a bunch of badass trolls all together - who had each killed two other very badass trolls prior to this encounter - and she kicked their collective asses all at once? God tier, subjuggalator, and magic wand of doom were nothing to her. Done in a flash. 

10. She avenged not only herself, her friends, and the rest of her troll race when she killed Eridan, but also her Ancestor, by killing the descendant of the Dolorosa’s murderer.

11. DID I MENTION THAT SHE’S A FUCKING VAMPIRE AND ALSO ONE OF THE MOST BADASS AND POWERFUL CHARACTERS IN THE ENTIRE STORY?

12. She’s been in love with Rose for three years, and in that time, their relationship has gone from idolizing her, to friendship, to romance. But even when Rose changed so much she’s barely the same person, and has become an alcoholic, Kanaya still not only loves her, but stays with her. This is the one ship in Homestuck that seems absolutely unsinkable - and it’s because of Kanaya.

13. Speaking of relationships, let’s take a moment to remember her feelings for Vriska. Even after all that time of Vriska complaining and whining, she still tried to do what was best for her. And when she realized Vriska was in love with Tavros, did she cut off their moirallegiance? Did she take out her frustrations on Tavros, or even Vriska? No. She let them work their shit out for themselves. That’s more maturity than half the people on Earth have, and she was thirteen.

14. Another thing about relationships - despite how deeply ingrained in troll society fighting and hatred is, she bucks that trend as hard as a person can. She was never rude to anyone, never lost her temper (except when she was murdered, but COME ON, that is excusable), and only ever tried to make the group’s interactions as harmonious as possible. To hell with quadrant monogamy, she will auspitize anyone that needs it, because it’s fucking important.

15. She is so fucking sassy.

I could go on forever, but seriously, man. KANAYA.
